Holymoorside Bowling Club

The Bowling Green is situated in a lovely location, surrounded by woodland and with the river running nearby. Almost opposite 33, Holymoor Rd is a lane, this leads to the Bowling Green, Tennis Courts and provision for parking.

The Green is well kept by a professional Green Keeper, there is a club house with excellent toilet facilities and a kitchen. The Green is surrounded with seats and there is a shelter – usually used by away Teams!

The Club is a member of the Chesterfield Bowls Association and we have six Teams in various Leagues. Many of the members enjoy competitive bowling others just want to bowl with friends, or take part in Club Competitions. Sunday afternoons are always popular – with a draw for partners and a ‘round robin’ style of play – you might win as much as a £1!

We have a range of social activities throughout the year – Spring and Autumn Socials, Winter / Christmas Dinner.

We try as much as possible to reach out to our Community and evening, weekend bowling sessions are held with groups in the Village and other Bowling Clubs.

The Club fees are £75 and you are welcome to use the Green at any time other than when League Games are played.

If you are interested and would like to find out more or like to have a go, then visit the Green any Friday morning 10am – 12, during the Season (April – September) where equipment, coaches and a very warm welcome awaits you.
